L. Joyce Mundy was born in the hills of Martin County, Indiana, in 1937, and is a retired nurse. She was raised on a farm in the White River bottom lands near Clark's Ferry, and has collected a lifetime of stories which she shares weekly with Mitchell area readers. She has been writing SOUVENIRS, a column of reminiscence and recipes since 2001. She has filled the books with recollections of the past; of both good times and hard times.
